In 2020, IC Assist connected with a woman who dreamt of starting a fast-casual restaurant. The individual needed to create a business plan based on their knowledge of the industry and conduct market research to determine business viability and use to present to investors.
By leveraging the connections within our professional network, we were able to match the right contractors and architects with our client. Working with our client, we guided them through the pricing information received by these service providers.
With the pricing information received, we calculated the initial capital needed for construction and equipment purchases. In collaboration with our client, we set up the company using the structure best suited to meet her needs. As more information was obtained throughout the process, we prepared and updated operating budgets for the new restaurant as well as made introductions to lenders and tax professionals.
Prior to opening, we guided our client through various start-up considerations, registrations, and licensing requirements. We also assisted with integrating the point-of-sale, payroll, and accounting systems.
Her restaurant opened in February 2021 and revenue is already surpassing the original estimates. We are currently having discussions about opening another location.
Now, we help our client with bookkeeping, filing sales taxes, and monthly reporting to investors. We continue to act as the liaison to tax professionals, investors, and attorneys.
